I worked with Jim at MBM in the 90's. He was an inspiration to me professionally. I remember his hypothetical opportunities using "Mr. George Popadopolous" and his missing shipment of "kumquats". He was a great person. My sympathies to his family.

We will deeply miss Jim and will continue to think of him whenever the Duke Women's Basketball team takes the floor. Through thick and thin, he was always one of their most loyal supporters, and generously supported my work as well. Godspeed, Jim.

His success should be thought of in the many lives he touched and the closeness of his many friends. Susan, my prayers are with you and the kids. I'd love to hear from you.

Dear Susan and family: My friend Jim quickly became and remained one of my all-time favorite persons ever since I joined MBM over twenty years ago and even after retiring two years ago. Jim was a man of tremendous character and class and who always maintained a calm and healthy perspective on life even in the most stressful of circumstances and I have nothing but good memories of him and our personal conversations. May God bless you all richly and keep you in His tender care.

Jim was a light in our lives and we will forever cherish all the memories we made with him. Grief can be a long and arduous journey, but we are in it together -- and Jim is with us too. It's hard not to hate the world at a time like this, but Jim's was a life well-lived, and we can at least be thankful for that. Even though I cannot be there with you all physically, please know that I am with you in spirit.

Much love always,
Anna
