Rebecca Massey Obituary
Raleigh
Rebecca "Becky" Jones Massey was here one minute and then suddenly in the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ. She lived her life as a testimony of her immense love for Him and was unashamed to share her faith with anyone who would allow her to do so. She was a faithful member of North Ridge Bible Chapel for many years. A native of Raleigh, Becky was a 1956 graduate of Broughton High School and worked for many years with several of Raleigh's ladies clothing stores and most recently at the North Carolina legislature. She was an untiring friend of many with a big heart, always on the go, tending to the needs of others.
She was the daughter of Percy and Lama Jones (deceased), the wife of Harry C. Massey, Jr. who survives her, the blessed Mother of Karen Hefferman (Jeff), the loving Grandmother of Chloe and Joy Hefferman of Charlotte, NC, the sister of Virginia Schafer of Winston Salem, NC, and survived by many aunts, cousins and numerous friends who loved her dearly.
Visitation will be Monday, August 21st at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave., 6-8PM Funeral service will be held at 11:00 on Tuesday August 22nd at North Ridge Bible Chapel, 7100 Harps Mill Rd. Raleigh, NC.
Flowers are welcome but memorial contributions to Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte, where her granddaughter Joy was treated, are encouraged.

To Mr. Massey and Karen I am so sorry to hear the news. I have such fond memories of growing up across the street, playing softball, and carpooling everywhere! Mrs. Massey would've done anything in the world for us - she even got me my first job working at Miller & Rhodes Department Store when we were in high school. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

What a beautiful service today for Becky!! Your church was filled with so many
spiritual people who admired Becky.
I loved the music you chose and voices were awesome. It was a blessing to
hear the great things Becky had done for so many, many people. I was so

Mr. Massey and Karen, I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Massey's passing. She was such a dear, sweet friend to my mother, Pat Burt. She also sends her condolences. Mr. Massey, I remember you fondly from all the support you gave me on Millbrook's track team and Karen you were always such a dear friend to me. I will be praying for you both.

Harry, my sincerest sympathy for you, Karen, and all the family. We often visited the Joneses when we were very young because our parents were close to Percy and Lama and all the Murray family. What a wonderful family, and Becky was truly a jewel. Most recently, she took clothes down to Eardene for me. (Well, that has been a few years!) May the Holy Spirit comfort you and may our Lord give you peace.
