CHARLES, JAMES, JR. James Charles, Jr. the son of the late Hattie and James Charles Sr. was born on February 12, 1935 in Society Hill, SC. He left this earthly life for the heavenly Father’s embrace on November 15, 2014 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a brief illness. He was a long time resident of West Haven, CT and the widower of Lowell Vanita Arnold Charles. His long work career included employment at B.F. Goodrich, Detroit Steel, St. Raphael’s Hospital and the Yale University- British Art Center. Those left to cherish his memory and mourn this great loss include his daughters: Inga and Kai Charles; sons Andre and Brooke Arnold; grandchildren Quran (Yolanda) Spell; Kyle Spell; Rashad (Erica); Travis Spell and Torri Spell; Taylor and Alexis Arnold-Hill; great grandchildren: Rashad Spell Jr., Jaden and Cameron James Spell, Kennedy Senior and King Hill. He will also be deeply missed by his surviving siblings: Janie Charles Holmes, Willie “Bubba” Charles, Carolyn Charles Carrington. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, in-laws, and a host of other relatives and friends. A celebration of his life will take place Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 10:00AM at Community Baptist Church; 143 Shelton Ave, New Haven, CT with visitation Thursday at the church from 8-10AM; Rev.
