To the Twiffs Family: I do not know your family, or your son Travis. However, I am an Air Force brat who's father and uncle served in Vietnam. It affected them in a way that changed them forever. All I an say is although his life ended tragically, it was in no way a reflection of the honorable man he was. I watched the documentary and my heart goes out to Travis (and Willards) entire family. Travis was and still is an honorable man, child of God and soul. Rest in peace, you good and faithful servant. I will keep you and those who suffer with the same struggles in my prayers. God bless you all and keep you, forever.

I met my greatest mentor and friend in 2007 on a flight from NO to Jacksonville NC. I was fresh out of Paris Island and headed to SOI. He didn't have to swap numbers muchless actually stay in touch with me but he did and I ended up going to his old unit Golf Co 2/6. He was the true definition of what's a US Marine. Still think about him often and still pray for his family.

Twiggs family,
My Deepest sympathy goes out to your family for your losses. I served with T-Bo on two occasions, once in South Carolina and in Iraq. He was one of the best Marines I ever had the pleasure to serve with and was a true friend. He will be deeply missed. God Speed SSgt “T-Bo” Twiggs. this is Roy at Darrow Fleet. As I write this I am reeling from what I have just read in the Times Picayune. Man, how could something so tragic happen? I am sorry Doug and please know I am thinking about you and praying that you will find peace through all this.
I could not imagine how it would be.
You have always been a friend to me in the river industry, we go back a long way.

Gayle and I feel your pain and can only tell you there will be bad days at first and some good days. Over time the good will return. Always remember the good times you shared with T-Beau & Will and things will be O.K.

My deepest condolences are with you as you grieve the loss of your beloved sons.
T-Bo often emailed me from Iraq. I saved most of them as he sent me photos. I will miss his emails. He always encouraged me through the struggle of rebuilding my home after the Hurricane.
I am so sorry for your loss and will be praying for the Lord to give you strength.
