JASON FORREST LAX LOWELL, IN
Jason Forrest Lax, age 42, of Lowell, IN passed away Friday, November 27, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Renee L. (nee Brown); two sons: Dylan and Jake Lax; parents: Jay L. and Helen J. Lax; three sisters: Deborah (Richard) Smith, Sandra Lax, and Rebecca Lax; father and mother-in-law: Jesse and Terri Brown; brother-in-law, Rod (Jen) Brown; two nephews: Justin and Aaron Smith; niece, Lauren Smith and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 10:00 AM from LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN with Pastor Greg Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Prairie Cemetery, Lowell, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday, November 30, 2009 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Children's College Education Fund or the National Epilepsy Foundation. Jason was a lifetime resident of this area, served in the Indiana National Guard, graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, and worked as an Electrical Systems Repair/Load Dispatcher at US Steel Company. He attended Sun Crest Christian Church of St. John, IN and formerly attended Southside Christian Church in Munster, IN. He was an avid outdoors man.
