Michael A. Castillo Munster, IN Michael A. Castillo, age 91, of Munster, Indiana, died after a brief illness early Saturday morning, December 31, 2005 at Munster Community Hospital with his family by his side. Mr. Castillo was born September 29, 1914 in Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico to the late Manuel and Agnes (Martinez) Alvarez del Castillo. On October 4, 1947 in East Chicago, Indiana, he married his loving wife of 53 years, the former Connie Figueroa, who died on July 6, 2000. He leaves behind his loving children: Michael (Carmen) Castillo, Jr. of Griffith, Indiana, Ralph (Teresa) Alvarez del Castillo of Barra de Navidad, Mexico, Linda N. (Steven) Odre of Westlake Village, California, Lydia L. Castillo of Munster, Indiana and Dr. Frank M. (Courtney) Castillo of Chicago, Illinois. Also surviving are his loving grandchildren: Michael Castillo III, Steven (Heather) Castillo, Mark (Katie) Castillo, Michelle (Tim) Powers, Denise Castillo, Christina (Anthony) Montella, Jennifer Odre, Stephanie, Castillo; great-grandchildren: Michael B. Castillo IV, Candice (Trevor) Burdge, Shawn K. Castillo, Steven M. Castillo and Nigel W. Castillo; great-great-granddaughter, Taylor B. Burdge; In-laws: Gus (Lupe) Figueroa, William (Lois) Figueroa, Louis (Eve) Figueroa, Lupe T. Figueroa, Irene Figueroa Osario and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Castillo came to the United States as a young boy and developed his own company, Castillo's Realty, where he worked for over 50 years before retiring. He was a loving husband, caring father and a generous grandfather. Funeral Services will be offered in celebration of Mr. Castillo's life at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 in the Ridgelawn Funeral Chapel, 4201 West Ridge Road, Gary, Indiana, (219)980-5555. Committal Services will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. The family will receive guests from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mr. Castillo to the donor's choice. Michael will be deeply missed by his loving and devoted family and many friends. MAY GOD GRANT HIM ETERNAL REST.
