RICHARD CLOYD SNEDDEN
Richard Cloyd Snedden died peacefully at home on August 23, 2016 in Brighton, CO at the age of 70. Richard is survived by his wife, Kathleen Snedden; children: Mark Snedden (Julia Snedden) of Fenton, MI, David Snedden (Kindal Miller) of Brighton, CO, Tara Snedden Ewing (Eric Ewing) of Elizabeth, CO; sister, Kay Stahlberger (Bill) of Bridgton, NJ. He was also a proud grandfather to: Emma Snedden, Sam Snedden, Madelyn Ewing, Ella Ewing and Jase Snedden. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Snedden and mother, Nettie Catherine Snedden of Chicago, IL; brothers: Donald Snedden, Thomas Snedden (Janice); and sisters: Annetta Jobe (Ralph), Mary Leysock (John) and June Shandick (Roby). Richard was born on January 20, 1946 in Indiana, Pennsylvania to Thomas and Nettie Catherine Snedden. He graduated from Chicago Vocational School (CVS) in 1963 before serving in the U.S. Marine Corps beginning in May of 1964. He married his wife of 49 years, Kathleen Wild Snedden in June of 1967 where they welcomed in three children. After moving from Chicago to Hammond, IN, Richard began working for Wisconsin Steel as a Master Mechanic. In 1994 Rich ard and Kathleen moved to Denver, CO where he worked for United Airlines until retirement in 2011. Richard believed strongly in two valued principles that guided him through all important life decisions, family is everything and always treat others the way you want to be treated. Richard is remembered as a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend and will be missed dearly. You will re main forever in our hearts. A celebration of life service is scheduled for Monday, September 12, 2016 3:00 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery- 4400 W. Kenyon Ave Denver, CO 80236, with a re ception to follow at the American Legion Post 1111 - 9959 Wadsworth Blvd. Broomfield, CO 80021 at 5:00 PM.
