Wow - May 5: My Mom's birthday. The date my beloved wife Rhonda passed in 2007. And the my best friend Michael Kissel left us. My heart goes out to Elena and the girls, whom I'm sure still have the Kiss in their hearts.

Hey Mike,
I wish you were still around. It turns out our weekend in Pittsfield had surprising consequences that neither of us suspected. I’m sure you’d get a kick out of them!
And, go figure, Galvin has ended up living just down the road from me. We’ve enjoyed a couple of baseball games together and your name always comes up and always brings a smile with it.
Not long now, so until such time
Lots of love

I was thinking of you just the other day. Many different memories came up, notably our fun trip to Pittsfield all those years ago! I expect to think of you off and on until I join you. Hang in there, good Buddy, not long now! Until such time....much love

My deep sympathy goes out to Michael's amazing wife Elena and their beautiful girls. I was blessed to have been a babysitter for this fun family many years ago in Newport. I have so many fond memories of Michael loving and enjoying his girls. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Michael's girls and his soul mate, Elena. An adoring father and wonderful man. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Know one thing, heaven will be filled with song, laughter and love now that your father sits as its cherib.

Mike Kissel was an incredible man. He gave me a chance to work for him in Jan 2005 when no one else would.
My biggest regret with Mike is that he never released his dream album "Naked Sacred".
You were sacred Mike... always will be...
God Bless You Fam... Rest In Power.
Peace

From our first days at Chase Tennis Camp in the 1960s and later growing up in Baltimore, Mike and I were close friends. I loved his free spirit and unerring charm, the latter derived from both of his parents.I am deeply saddened at his premature passing. My thoughts are with his wife and daughters at this difficult time.

Where do you start with Mike? He changed my life in all the right ways. He kept it positive. He did things all the way.
So glad we reconnected these last few years.
He had a wonderful family and a huge group of admirers and friends. Every little thing mattered to Mike.

Michael was a fixture at a wonderful summer place called Bailey's Beach ... Over the years he and I played quite a bit of tennis ... he was a superb player who could dazzle you with a topspin backhand or serve the ball underhanded when you least expected it! Above all, he was a complete gentleman and his love of life was contagious ... He will be missed dearly.

Dear Michael, though we haven't seen each other in over forty years, we have spoken on numerous occasions and I will always remember you fondly as one of my best teenage buddies. I still treasure that old blue t-shirt with the pocket that I never returned and still, to this day, lies in rags in my memory box. May the new world welcome you with open arms, I know you are worthy.

A prince. Smart, intuitive, a brilliant ear for music and the inner voices of those around him. A dedicated brother and son, devoted father and husband. Michael and I met in August 1967 and were instant friends, a bond that continued through thick and thin. Thank the heavens that his spark lives on with Elena, Siena, Lucy and Rosalie!

Mike was a gentleman and a friend. His smile and great sense of humor are his legacy to me. I will miss him.

Mike proved my theory that all musical talent in our family came from the Kissel branch! He was also the most amusing of all our cousins, never flagging in high spirits even during his long battle with illness, and he was the best husband and dad I've ever known. He set the standard, and will be sorely missed, except on high where the angels will now be singing with new verve and harmonies they never imagined possible! Ritchie, Charlie and Chris join in sending our deepest sympathy to Elena, Siena, Lucy, and Rosalie--Cousin Charlie Scribner
