David Lewis Obituary

David Lee Lewis, 49, went home to be with the Lord February 26, 2012. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

He was a lifetime resident of this is community, and was employed by Carter Jones for 23 years. He graduated from Buchtel High School, and accepted Christ at an early age.

Preceded in death by his father, Eddie Lewis; sister, Linda Lewis; brother, Kenny Lewis; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Paul Auls and Mr. & Mrs. Elucillious Lewis; aunts, Mary Thomas and Elnora Samuel; uncle, Elucillious Lewis, Jr; cousin, Damario C. Stewart; he leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Carmen Davis-Lewis; mother, Virginia Lewis; children, Morgan and Austin Verhotz; brother, Ricky Lewis; cousin, but like a brother, Keith Steele; very special friends, Stanley McGrady and Sherrie Brightwell; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 12 p.m. at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home, 529 W. Thornton St., Akron, OH 44307, Rev. Scott Booker and Rev. Perry Clark officiating. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until time of service. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 1401 Marcy St., Akron, OH 44301.
