Kenneth Shaffer Obituary
Ken Shaffer, 76, after spending seven decades giving this earth a run for its money, finally decided to take it easy and go home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 16, 2017.
He left behind reading glasses that were not his, a pair of beat up work boots, and a large wardrobe of Russell athletic sweatshirts.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents,
Andrew and Inez Shaffer. He is survived by his wife, Deborah; sons, Mark
(Michelle), Robert
(Heather) and Andrew (Haylee Zoller) Shaffer; daughters, Deborah (Doug) Miller and Hope (Jamesynn) Portman; grandchildren, Mariah, Kenny, Aden, Jasper and Maximus; sister, Barbara Webb; and sister-in-law, Kathryn Rittenberry as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (SR619), Akron, Ohio 44319. Family and friends may come on Wednesday from 12 to 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and for one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Kenny was a wonderful man. He taught me so many things throughout the few years I've worked for his wonderful family. May God bless his soul he will be very missed. So many memories . We love you Kenny.

Sorry to hear of Ken's passing. He always had a smile even when he was mad! He always had a wink for you, his way of saying Hi! and he appreciated your shopping at his business! He will be missed by the community and FAMILY. Hugs to the FAMILY, always remember you carry him in your heart!
