hi Joyce and Family,
I was a daily dinner visitor at the care facility and met Delbert and later Joyce and some family members. When Joyce was not visiting Delbert, I would talk to Delbert and help with at the waitress's attention, because he might want more vegetables or dessert! or water or a different fork. When I first arrived about 4 p.m., I would notice Delbert's door would be open (I think so the caregivers could monitor him), and I would observe and hear, that he was watching TV - sports! every time. . . When Delbert would be going to dinner with his wheel chair, I would ask him if he would like me to close his door. . . and he always said yes. When he would be going back to his room, I would ask him when he gets inside, would he like me to close his door, and he always said Yes! Delbert and Joyce became dinner friends quickly, which strengthened Charlie and my willingness to keep living there. Thank you Joyce, Jennifer, Mark, Mike and Karen! Bless You all.
