Patricia Lopez Obituary
March 2, 2025
Patricia (Pat) Lopez (Vail) 72, passed away at home on March 2 surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Omaha, NE to John and Kathleen (Carroll) Vail. In 1974 Pat graduated from Mount Marty College in Yankton, South Dakota with her BSN in nursing and earned a Masters Degree in Public Health Nursing and Administration from the University of Nebraska. She recently retired as Health Director of the Lincoln Lancaster County Health Department. Pat is survived her husband Joe, daughter Nicole and grandsons Owen and Kendric.
In lieu of flowers financial contributions can be made to the Lancaster County Medical Society Foundation (LCMS Foundation) for the Pat Lopez BSN scholarship, her grandsons education fund or a charity of your choice.
Viewing 9am-3pm Monday at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street, Lincoln. Rosary 7 pm Monday at St Teresa Catholic Church, 735 S 36th Street, Lincoln. Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Tuesday at the church. Interment 2:30 pm Tuesday in Omaha National Cemetery. Condolences: www.bmlfh.com
