Happy Birthday Tobey Ann -
Allen is missing you terribly, especially today. I know that you are still close and watching over us, even though you are probably really busy organizing heaven. But we weren't ready for you to go and I will be expecting some answers from God when I get there.
Please take some time to sit with Allen and the puppies tonight to ease some of the pain. The nights are always the hardest for them.
The holidays are coming so any messages that you drop are most appreciated to help us through.
See you on the other side,
Stephany

Allen,
I was so sorry to hear of Tobey's passing. I learned of it just last night. She was a great lady with a huge heart for those animals who needed her love. She will be dearly missed. If I can do anything or if you just want to talk sometime, I'm only a block away. Take care of yourself.

Allen,
No words can express how truly sorry I am for the loss of Tobey. I cannot comprehend why or how this happened. Not only was Tobey my Mother's absolute best friend, but a second mother to me, always. Our house, our lives are flooded with memories of her. I have never met anyone who genuinely cares for others above themselves, at all times, the way Tobey did. She was, and will always be, a very special part of all of our lives. I am sad to say that Bella will have never known such an amazing woman. I treasure the time my family and I got to spend with her in Black Mountain this past summer. At times like these, I find it very comforting to know that she is in a better place and that we all have one more guardian angel watching over us. I will always love and miss her and you and the rest of Tobey's family are in my daily thoughts and prayers.
Love, Chelsea

Dear Allen, Penney, Sarah, Lisa, Rita, Louis, Ben, Susan and Phillip,
Tobey Ann was such a good friend to me when I moved to Florida at age 9. We had a lot of great times playing in the pool, the lake, going to baseball games and putting on fake accents so people would think we were Swedish, eating Charles chips by the 10 pound can and listening to Tobey Ann play the ukelele, and so many other unforgettable times on 39th street.
More recently my mom and I were visiting Florida and Tobey Ann took us out for lunch. We had a wonderful time catching up with the lives of the Perinis and Sanfords.
I'm so sorry to have lost Tobey Ann. Love, Laura

I was so sorry to hear the news about Tobey. Her devotion to animal rescue work was invaluable and so inspiring. The world was a better place for having her in it. She was also a delightful person and a wonderful friend to my father, his best friend and comrade in all things baseball.
My heart goes out to you, Allen, and to all of Tobey's friends and family, including the adorable dogs.

Allen and family,
A bittersweet Thanksgiving today as we have much sadness over dear Tobey's passing and worry over Allen's illness. And I know that I will miss Tobey tremendously every inning of every game at the stadium in Jupiter. She was so incredibly beautiful and alive and engaged at every game, and was so much fun to be with that I would bring friends and relatives to "show her off" as my special friend and was so proud to be with her.
In the Jewish tradition, they say that one can not be truely gone when they continue to live so vividly in our memory. That being the case, we will all continue to be comforted and warmed by the sweet memory of that incredibly generous, modest, delightful little woman.
Allen, please let us know when you return safely to Jupiter.

Tobey was a great friend during our years at Rosarian Academy. It was a shock to read about her death in today's paper. Although we had not kept in touch over the years, I have great memories of times spent at her house with her folks and siblings while we were growing up. The family always treated me as one of their own and I will cherish those memories. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Our hearfelt, sincere condolences for you, Allen, on Tobey Ann's passing, from Lou, Cindy and Matt. We will carry with us forever Tobey's smile and exhuberance for life, baseball, faith and her devoted, unconditional love for you and her animals. Tobey's unlimited generosity towards her family and friends stands as a testament to her character as a loving, caring and devoted wife, sister, friend and mentor to all who were fortunate enough to be touched by her beautiful life. Tobey's smile and excitement for the game of baseball will forever ring in the stands of her beloved spring training in Jupiter, Florida. We will carry on in her honor at spring training as Tobey surely would want us to do as the umpire from heaven. The excitement in her eyes for the pre-game player interation, the gift of her extra tickets to the children that otherwise would not be able to attend the games, the smells of the ballpark, the thrill of the game, her endless pursuit of running between her seat and the baseball auction items during the game, and her surrounding herself with family, friends and fellow baseball fans will be forever cherished in our hearts and memories.
