Anne Bostian, 86, of Sonoma, CA, wife of the late Charles Samuel Bostian Jr. (Sam), passed away peacefully at home with family at her side.
She was born in Buffalo, NY, to Mary (Campbell) and Lyle F. Boulware. Anne was a Class of 1949 graduate of Great Neck High School, NY. She attended Immaculata Univ. in Malvern, PA, where she was an All American field hockey player, and graduated with a B.A. in Biology. She married Sam and they bought a home in Charlestown, PA. She moved the family to the Bay Area after Sam died.
She is survived by four children, Daniel husband of Bobbie Bostian of Sonoma, CA, Jennifer wife of J. Lawrence McMaster of Phoenixville, PA, David husband of Leigh Ann Bostian of San Rafael, CA, and Amanda wife of N. Douglas Martin of Fairfax, CA. She was preceded in death by her youngest son Brian Joseph. She is also survived by her brother, Peter J. Boulware of San Francisco, CA, and six grandchildren.
Anne's faith was the bedrock from which she drew the strength to raise her family after Sam's death, and she was always there whenever her family needed her. She was a lector at St. Francis of Solano church in Sonoma. She loved animals, especially dogs. She enjoyed knitting, golf, her garden, and watching the San Francisco Giants play baseball.
