Blanche Howard Obituary
Survivors include two daughters, Donna J. Collins and husband Tom and Susan Lynn Chadwick and a son, Sam Allen Howard, Jr. and wife Brenda, all of Chesapeake; a sister, Leona Clattenburg of Frankford, DE; seven grandchildren; two step-grandsons; many great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 13, in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel by Rev. Fred Williams and Rev. Danny Moore. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Blanche was a remarkable woman who always had a big smile for everyone. She opened her home to the South Loxley Neighborhood Watch to hold their monthly meetings. I personally have known her for 25 years and she always had a kind word and a big hug and kiss for me whenever I saw her. I am glad she got to attend our National Night Out and our Loxley Place Civic League Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners in 2018. Dear Family I do hope she is waiting to welcome me when the time comes as I know she will do for you. Her family was her pride and joy and her face would always light up when she spoke about you. I want to thank each one of you for sharing your mom, grandmother and/or, aunt with me. God Bless
