John and I went to school together and partied together. We spent a lot of time online we visited each other in the hospital. I miss John as do others I'm sure. It's been 4 years and I still laugh out loud sometimes when I think of him.

I am so sorry to learn of John's passing. I remember John during our time at Minerva Central School, both elementary and high school. John was always a gentleman and had a kind heart.
I still remember John singing a solo at one of our elementary school Christmas Concerts. I believe I was in 6th grade. John would have been in 5th grade. The elementary grades were combined in the chorus. The Christmas Carol was "We Three Kings of Orient Are". John sang the verses as a solo, and the chorus joined him on the chorus parts. John sang a wonderful solo that evening. I admired him at the time for volunteering to sing solo in the Christmas Concert. John also played first trumpet section, in the MCS high school band. He was a great trumpet player. Later John also took piano and organ lessons from music teacher, Helen Barnes. I lost track of John later in life, but I always remember his great sense of humor and his
willingness to take part in school projects. Speaking of MCS Alumni, John's father, John II, was a classmate. of my father, Lawrence, back in their school years. Please accept my deepest sympathy. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Prayers go out to John's family. He was a life time friend. We are MCS alumni who have kept in touch with him through the years. His positive attitude was so admirable as he went through so many challenges! The last time we saw John was at a Dan B. concert in Warrensburg. His birthday is the same as my mom, Esther Badgley, 10/19. They would make a point of sending wishes on that day. They'll be spending their birthdays together in heaven. RIP our friend.

I am so incredibly sad hearing that John has finished his time here with us. He was an inspiration and a pillar of strength. He loved his family and was so proud of them all. I have known John for over 30 years, and he was always ready to tell me a joke when I was going thru my bad years of my own losses and illness. My heartfelt condolences to his entire family and close friends. He was a great friend and his loss will effect anyone that knew him. Rest easy, my friend.
