I will sorely miss the comraderie with Joe on my trips fishing on the Miss
Lorainne. He aways made the day pleasant even when he would chide me for losing a fish.

"What can I say?" "I almost had a bite."
Two of Joe's favorite sayings back in the Miss Lorraine II days. Sitting with Joe, sharing stories, beer, snacks and sandwiches made every trip a success. Joe, now you can guide us from above to where the fish are. G-1

Uncle Joe,
I spent around 23 years of my life fishing with you, Grandpop, Joe, and a few years that I can remember with Uncle Walt. I remember one time a long time ago Uncle Walt let me drive the Miss Lorraine home after a day of fishing. I could barely see over the wheel and out the glass. Uncle Walt told me to aim the bow of the boat for some bldg. I said ok but I did not even see land. He started talking to someone and I managed to turn the boat around and was heading back out to see. I have many great memories fishing with you guys, my family over the years. Another favorite memory was the time a boat sank next to us and you and Grandpop yelled at everyone in other smaller boats saving the guys in the water. You guys directed the whole thing and when the guys did something wrong you let them know it really know it. I loved fishing with you guys and every time I go out I know my roots of fishing, how I got to where I'm at now. I will miss you and every time I'm out on the water I'll know you are very close by. The phrase "You dirty Dog" won't be the same without you. Take care Uncle Joe.
