Marlene Boyd

Marlene Boyd, 75 years old, passed away on June 20, 2022 at Saint Joe’s Hospital, Reading, PA. Born on October 28, 1946 she was the daughter of the late Dorothy (Garnett) Washington and the late John Boyd. She was a graduate of Reading High School where she would later go onto work for Lucent Technologies. She worked there for 37 years, mostly as a Senior Operator. Marlene was an active member of Saint John’s Baptist Church. She is survived by daughter Carlita Boyd-Bryant, granddaughter Kennedy Bryant and sister Renee Jenkins. The memorial service will be held on June 30, 2022 at 11 AM at St. John’s Baptist Church, 436 S. 7th St., Reading, PA. 19602. Harris Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
