George Edwin Langnese

Redding, CA

George Edwin Langnese passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at the age of 88. Born to Frederick and Bertha Langnese of San Jose, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and five older brothers.

He grew up and attended school in Morgan Hill, California. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Navy (1944) and served as Boatswain Mate until his discharge in 1947. He then worked as a Gas Control Mechanic for P.G.&E. retiring from the company after 43 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Marty, of 38 years. He was a loving husband and father to four sons, John (Sandy), Dennis (Cindy), Ron (Sharon) and Daniel. He leaves behind his loving daughter, Connie (Bob). He was Grandpa and Great Grandpa to numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were a great source of love, devotion and entertainment. He also leaves behind many wonderful friends. He will be greatly missed by all.

Thank you to Mercy Hospice for the wonderful care George received from everyone attending to his needs.

Services will be held on Friday, September 25th at 12:30 pm at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery in Igo. Pastor Al Franklin officiating.

Dad, you will truly be missed. We loved you lots! We will take good care of mom for you. You would have been proud of the wonderful service mom provided for you, a well deserved military service. it was moving and we appreciated you and your service to this Country. Our love and condolences to everyone who loved you.
