James R. FitzPatrick

Mr. James Ray FitzPatrick, 70, died at his home on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Greenville. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park. Mr. FitzPatrick, a native of Leonardtown, Md., grew up in Richmond, Va. and graduated from Benedictine High School. He attended the University of Richmond and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University. For 35 years he worked with Invensys Controls Company, where he served as Controller for International Operations, retiring in 2000. An avid golfer, he was a past member of Salisbury Country Club in Richmond. He was a member of St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Richmond and in Greenville was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Mr. FitzPatrick was preceded in death by his parents, Albert J. and Eleanor Miller FitzPatrick; a daughter, Leigh Ann FitzPatrick; and a brother, Albert J. FitzPatrick. He is survived by his wife, Patricia West FitzPatrick; son, James Christopher "Chris" FitzPatrick of Midlothian, Va.; and brother-in-law, William "Billy" West and wife, Judy, of Greenville; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Wilkerson Funeral Home, Greenville, NC.
