Dearest Mom, Thinking of you and how you held on until 88 for us. Thank you so MUCH for that.
It´s been six years now and the sting of losing you isn´t as sharp as it once was, though I´m pretty sure we all think of you most days, miss you all those days. We still talk about missing your birthday call with the musical candle, and letting the milk go bad to make buttermilk pancakes. Katie´s baby girl, Soleya,is three now and is a little dynamo. She rides her bike at 3 like she thinks she´s Evel Kneival. And Mom! Ty and Kalea have a baby girl, Lainey, born on Paul´s birthday! Your fruitful family tree is still growing, Mom, and there is love here. I pray God blesses you in every way possible. I love you, Mom, and miss you so much.
Your only daughter, forever yours.

Dearest Mom, It´s 5 years ago today that you passed to the other side, yet from where I´m sitting, I can see the pamphlet we created for your memorial on my desk. And that´s how it is-memories of you are all around our homes and you are on our minds and hearts always. None of us would ever want another Mom-only YOU will do!
Same with your grandkids-Joey talks of you often, Paul recently made your buttermilk pancakes in memory of you, and Katie made your chocolate chip pancakes for little Soly. This caused a reminiscing session, in which came up their Friday nights at your home and how much those stays with you mean to them to this day. We all miss you, Mom. Lots.
Oh-Jeremy is a Grandpa, Mom! Allie has a beautiful baby girl!
From your baby girl: Life here is ever very interesting-and I expect you to show me the ropes when I arrive over there!
Love you, Mom. Thinking of you today in the special way that we humans do-but you are always on my mind and heart. Thank you for the life we had together. XOXOXO
Your daughter

That´s you, Mom, in the front row, right. I´m guessing about 10, but I have no way to tell for sure. And then there´s your guys carrying your casket to it´s final resting place. Just think! I´ll be resting right next to you sooner than later. :) And I felt like you asked for that heavenly view given us as we headed back to AZ. When I saw it, I knew you were at peace, and it helped me to find a little, too.
It´s not that I don´t know that we all come and live and then go back to the other side-it´s that when people die, it leaves holes in our hearts and that´s hard! It takes a long time to stop expecting you to walk through the door or call.
But after three years, we get it. Doesn´t mean we hurt any less, it´s just duller, not as sharp-edged.
Thinking of you, Mom, more today than every day. Love you so much! God bless you and see you when I get there!

It's two years tomorrow, Mom, since you passed. For your children, the pain of you not being here is still very raw; and your grandkids and all the other family and friends think of you often and send notes to us every now and then to make sure we're okay.
Time goes by fast--I've already made you two birthday presents since you passed--I hope you can see them from the other side. I will make another every year on your birthday and hang them all together by your picture. They do comfort me and I hope they comfort you, but the pain of missing you is the same.
I moved home, but it doesn't feel like home as much to me without you here. I look for you in the sky...God watch over you, Mom. I hope you can feel our love and that it buoys you.
Love forever,
Pam

The sky always called to you, Mom. This is our view as we head home to say goodbye. I will always see you in the sunset, Mom.

Ruthie was, and will always be, one of my favorite people. I love you and will miss you. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Fly with the angels now, lovely lady.

Dear Pam, Paul, Joe, and Katie- Sending our love to all of you and remembering with a smile what a strong, proud, and very slightly (beautifully) stubborn Momma/Grandma Ruth was :)
When I think of her I am gifted with the memory of what a proud Grandma she always was and how she never missed an event for any of you.
I know you will miss her terribly, Pam- but you will carry her with you, and I am certain she will carry you when you need her to.
Love you all so much!

I got to spend wonderful hours with Ruth and enjoyed making her smile as we reminisced about fun times on a cruise or looking at pictures taken at the time. She also liked sharing of how proud she was of her loving family and also cherished her great friends. I greatly admired her strength, work habits and dedication to her family. I will absolutely miss her sparkling blue eyes and great smile but have awesome memories and love that will remain in my heart.

Taken about a week before she passed. Feisty to the end.

My Mama passed on Feb 26. She was 88. She suffered tremendously in the last months of her life and now she is free of that broken body.
She was a strong, commanding presence, incredibly tough.
I'm going to miss her so much! I don't know how you ever get used to not being able to call your mom.
God bless my Mama on the next leg of her journey.
