Mrs. Vivian Carol Brown Bissett, 56, entered into rest peacefully after a short heart felt battle with lung cancer and heart disease on Tuesday, October 12th, 2021. She was born in Trenton, NJ on July 25th, 1965 to the late David Everett Brown, Sr. and Carol Jean Heaton Brown.

She was a graduate of Pemberton County High School (NJ) and Burlington County College (NJ) with her nursing degree. Vivian worked as a nurse over the years in many facilities and also worked in home healthcare. Her life as a caregiver shined in all her friends and family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed turning the page until her hearts content. She loved a good book and enjoyed the escape of a good breeze and a great story. She was a wonderful writer and had written many short stories and poems. Vivian was a free spirit. Her hobbies were hiking, camping, swimming, traveling, and she had a soulfully deep relationship with the beach. Vivian loved a good beach and spent many of her days at the seashore. She and her husband were big race fans and enjoyed the race track and all the fanfare. The two traveled the country attending many Nascar events. She loved photography and has a bountiful portfolio of photos from her travels and family events over the years. She was a loving wife, Mother, sister, Grandmother and friend. She always had a smile and a piece of life advice for all of her family and friends. She will be missed by so many and her loss will be felt far and wide across the country. Vivian touched everyone she knew with her kind and gentle soul.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Bissett of Effingham, SC; children, Lydia Rose (Clint) Roberts of Wichita, KS, Joshua Ryan and grandson, Jionni Wilson of Florence, SC; step-daughter, Cherish Bissett (Brandon) Nalewajek of Florence, SC; mother, Carol Jean Heaton Brown of Bishopville, SC; grandson, Jionni Wilson; brothers, Charles Brown, of Newport, PA; Harry Brown of Bishopville, SC; sister, Judy Brose of Columbus, NJ. She also has so many family and friends all over the east coast including NJ and FL.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Everett Brown, Sr. and her brother, David Everett Brown, Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 17, 2021, in the Chapel of Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home, Bishopville, SC. The Rev. Steve Winburn will officiate and the family will receive friends following the service.
