Dear Jerry,
The day I met you I was 9 years old and we lived acroos the street on beverly ave. I asked mom to let you come over for dinner and you did.Your hair cought on fire...we were all laughing our butts off!I think of you everyday since your passing on and i still remember the sound of your voice and the laugh out loud at jokes i can hear you telling.I miss you so much and love you so much.All the memories we have i hold so close to my heart and i wish times were like when katy and I kids.one day we will be together again and I cant wait til I can hug you and spend eternity together.I Love You.

In high school, I knew of Jerry, but didn't know him. I know a lot of Alumni who did know him. In fact, a few of them were just wondering what he was up to. I wish I had known about his passing a year ago so I may have informed others, which I have now done.

Dear Ellen, Roy, and Dena:
I just heard of Jerry's passing, and although it has already been several months, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I never knew Jerry by the nicknames he now has, but he was a good friend from Indian Guides through High School, and I am saddened to hear he is no longer with us. It was interesting to read the entries in this guestbook, and see the names from band from nearly 30 years ago. Many memories. To his family, and close friends, I hope you have found Peace.

We were your customers, and moreso your friends. The work you did in our RV will be our personal memorial to you. Now, it means all that much more to have something you did and we will have to remember. You knew your business, your work is excellent, you did things right and made sure it was done right the first time. We'll miss you Jerry, first! We'll miss the work but it isn't as important as you. Jerry, where do i start. The last time i seen you was at my wedding. You and Aunt Ellen came I was so glad you did. We have not seen much of each other but you were very much loved you are family and that will never change. I will never forget you.

We were close family friends for most of my growing years. Although time has seperated us, I still have fond memories of the times we all shared. Jerry and Robbie, the little brothers tagging behind Dena and I. There are no words that can express the sorrow I feel or comfort that I can give you. Only know that I am thinking about your family and praying for your continued strength. Hold on to all the wonderful memories, they will serve you well. Dear Jerry,
When you were just a little guy, you & Dena used to come over for "sleep overs" once in awhile to spend the night with Grandpa & me. We always enjoyed your time with us. While you were in high school you were in the BOG, you did some traveling, being with your friends & having fun.
I always liked your big truck with the name Smokey on it. You had all your tools in it & knew where everything was.
I know you liked the NASCAR racing. Doug would say to me, "Grandma, I'm going to Smokey's, he will fire up his grill & we will eat & watch the race." Boomer would keep you both company.
When you came to eat dinner with me, Doug, Colton & Bonnie, you would bring me an apple pie with either ice cream or whipped cream.

I did not know Your son, brother,uncle and friend...but reading the entries, I know he was a giant of a man who so many people loved and adored. .Please take comfort in knowing you raised such a great young man who touched so many lives with his unique kindness and friendship. The bonds of family are deep no matter the miles or circumstances and I'll always have memories of Jerry that are very special. Watching him ride his yellow Schwinn on Christmas day, or riding together in the back of Grandpa's green truck, those memories of childhood are the ones that make me smile the most. I first worked with Jerry at G. E. Siek while attending Largo High School, but only knew him as an acquaintance. After graduating in '82, my friend Kay and I became friends with Jerry and Craig, and we had some really great times together. I will miss his smile and great sense of humor, and my heart goes out to the Nelson family. A few years ago my children, Amanda and Sean, met Jerry, and they thought he was "cool" and very funny. "Well, anyway" as was common to say, I'll love you always Jerry, you were a wonderful person, and God is now welcoming you with open arms.

Since many of the band members have passed on over the years, I have to smile and think that my father is gathering them all together in rehearsal, waiting for the rest of us to get there. It will be a grand reunion. God Bless you and your family in your time of sorrow. Please find comfort in your treasured memories and the lighter moments. I did not know Jerry, as I graduated in 1971, but when I read Julie Lynch's entry, I could hear my father urging Jerry to run.
