Phillip Webb Obituary

Phillip Brion Webb, 55, of Gray, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at his residence.
He was a native of Kingston but lived in the Gray area for the last 35 years. He was the son of the late Paul Queener Webb and Cora Aileen Webb. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Robert Paul Webb. He was a member of Central Baptist Church of Johnson City.
He graduated in 1980 from East Tennessee State College with a B.S. in dental technology. In 1985, he started his first business, Intech Associates, a computer sales and service business. From 1993 until the present, he and his wife Kathy owned and operated Twin Creeks Log Home Supply, a specialty lumber and hardware supply company in Gray.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed traveling, golf and photography. His most prized possession was his family, especially his wife, Kathy, from whom he was inseparable.
Survivors include: his loving wife of 36 years, Kathy Webb of the home; a son, Phillip B. Webb II and his wife Staci Lewis Webb, Gray; a daughter, Annie Webb Ellis and husband Jarrett Ellis, Kingsport; a brother, David Webb and wife Janice Webb, Kingston; four grandchildren, Isabella and Sophia Webb, and Avery and Reese Ellis; his mother-in-law, Martha Childs, Kingston; an aunt, Betty Hatmaker, Jacksboro, TN; several brothers and sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m., with a memorial service following at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, in Central Baptist Church in Johnson City. Dr. Ron Murray officiated. The family had the graveside service at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20, at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Morris-Baker Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2001 Oakland Ave., Johnson City, was in charge of arrangements. Family and friends were requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. Monday to go in procession to the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
