Albert Poirier Obituary
WORCESTER - Albert J. Poirier, Jr., 71, son of Albert and Noella Roy Poirier lost his battle with cancer on April 12th 2012.
He leaves his wife of 52 years, Gail K. (Cameron) Poirier; three children, Denise Gove Daniel of Worcester, Barry Poirier, and his wife Marie of Worcester, and Mark Poirier and his wife Jeannie of Hubbardston; along with nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He also leaves a sister, Irene Elbag of Oxford; a brother, Gerard Poirier of Merrimack, NH and nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother Robert A. Poirier of Lunenburg.
An electrician by trade, Al also owned and operated Custom Water Worlds on Shrewsbury Street for many years. Upon Retirement he lived his dream to winter in Ft. Myers Beach, FL. He loved life, his family and friends.
All are welcome to celebrate Al's life on Saturday, April 21st, with a Mass at 9:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St., Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.

To My Family and friends; My lover,husband, and best friend has gone to a better place.I am so sad and miss him so much but reading the love that you have shared with us who had to stay behind I thank you. Dear Auntie Gail, how can I express the love in my heart for this man. When Stephen was in UMASS as a child, Uncle Al was always there to make sure I had something to eat or was able to take a shower. I didn't have to ask him. He always seemed to know when I needed him the most. He knew I would not leave Stephen alone. I will always remember and be thankful to him for that. I know he is at peace watching over us all. What an incredible man Uncle Al was. He and "GayGay" taught me so much about love, life, friendship, honor, and the true meaning of family.
