Scott Nuzzo Obituary

Scott Nuzzo died May 9, 2010 at Connecticut Hospice, after a stoic battle with brain cancer.   Scott was born in Norwalk, Connecticut on September 15, 1983 to Dan and Roseann Nuzzo. Scott attended Norwalk Public Schools, Eagle Hill Southport, graduated from the High Road Learning Center in Wallingford, CT, and graduated from the Culinary Arts program at Norwalk Community College. Scott had a passion for music, and worked as a mobile disk jockey running his own business called “Rock the House D.J. Service,” as well as working for his Uncle Jimmy Nuzzo in “Dance to the Music Entertainment.” Scott was also a valued employee in his dad's software development firm, Softech Solutions in Norwalk.

For all who knew him, Scott was a caring, compassionate individual who had a heart of gold. If Scott was your friend he was devoted, and would do anything for you. His dad Dan was also his best friend; they spent many years working, traveling, photographing, and enjoying life together.

Scott also had a passion for working at the Norwalk Seaport's Annual Oyster Festival, volunteered at the event for many years and was honored for his devoted service as the Oyster Festival's “Junior Volunteer of the Year.”

Scott loved the computer and really enjoyed all types of technology. He was also an avid film collector and had a large collection of movies.

Scott is survived by his loving parents, Dan and Roseann Nuzzo, his wonderful sister Denise, his faithful black Labrador Retriever, Pacino; his grandmother Pauline Silvester, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 11th, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk, CT, with a Mass of Christian burial celebrated on Wednesday, May 12th, 11 a.m. at St. Matthew's Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk, CT.
