JEAN M. CHATFIELD
Jean May (Tormey) Chatfield, 86, died Sunday, September 28, at Frey Village in Middletown, Pa. She was the widow of John B. Chatfield of Ithaca, NY.Born in Blossburg, PA on August 18, 1917, she was the oldest child of Raymond and Eva Tormey. She graduated from the Corning Free Academy in 1934. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ithaca.Mrs. Chatfield is survived by her daughter, Nan C. Cavenaugh of Harrisburg, PA; grandsons, David and Robert Cavenaugh; two sisters, Marion Welsh and Gertrude Timmel; six nephews and three nieces. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ben.A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 22, at 11 a.m. at the Weston Presbyterian Church, near Lake Lamoka.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Weston Presbyterian Church, 510 Route 23, Wayne, NY 14893, or to Pinnacle Health Hospice, 3705 Elmwood Dr., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
