LAKELAND - Tanya Annie Mai Fleming, age 32 passed away of MS on 7-2-09.
She was born in Lakeland, Fl on 4-22-77 to Dennis "Shorty" and Streica Carter. She was a waitress. She was a member of Christ Memorial Baptist in Lakeland, Fl. She was a loving daughter and a friend you can count on.
She is predeceased by her grandmother Josphine Lane. She is survived by one son Daulton Ryan Desalvo, daughter Mikaley Annie Mai Fleming, brother Tyler Carter; five sisters: Selena Davis, January Carter, Heather McSwan, Myrandia Carter and, Peyton Carter, grandparents Mikki Saia, Al Lane, David Carter.
Memorial services will at Christ Memorial Baptist Church 1:00pm on 7-8-09.
Arrangements are being handled by Central Florida Casket Store & Funeral Chapel, 2090 East Edgewood Drive, Lakeland, FL.

Tanya I miss you sooo much.I still catch myself trying to write you, but you already know what I'm thinking or going to write. I know you are an Angel above us all.You are missed and loved by many!!!Aunt Streica and Uncle Shorty I couldn't even imagine the hurt you guys feel and I am very sorry. We knew the entire family throughout elementary school and played softball with them as well... my mother taught one of the younger girls at Combee. So sorry to hear of the loss of a wonderful daughter, sister, mother and friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Tanya and I were great friends way back when, especially in elementary school and junior high. I have many fond memories of our friendship, her carefree personality, and many fun sleepovers!! We haven't spoken in quite awhile, though we crossed path many times. It is so hard to hear of her passing. She will be missed by so many.

When I heard the news it saddend me. I haven't seen Tanya or any of her friends or family in a really long time. All of you were a fixture at the ballpark (East Lakeland) while I was living there and coaching. I grew up with Tanya as a teenager and was very fond of her and she will truly be missed. My thouhgts and prayers go out to her family and friends.

Strecia and family, I have no words that could even begin to ease the sorrow you must be feelings so I won't try.
I'm so very sorry for your enormous loss. Tanya was such a free spirit and so full of life. When we were growing up and going to CMBC (the whole gang) she always had everyone laughing. As an adult and a mother, she had a huge heart and never seemed to slow down.
I reconnected with you guys on myspace a few years back and always got messages and comments from Tanya telling everyone to live their lives, be who they were and have "no regrets."
I think we should all strive to pack as much into our day to day lives as she did. May she rest in peace.

Tanya, you will never know how much you mean to me...we have been best friends for nine years and i don't know what i will do without you. you were always there for me and had one of the biggest hearts of anyone I know. we've shared many great times together over the years and I look forward to seeing you again one day. until then, you made me promise to take care of Daulton and I plan to do that to best of my ability. I will always love you and miss you tremendously.
