December 20, 2017

Hello,
We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and we'll be dedicating several of these to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and the hometown of Jose A. Rubio US Army Corporal. We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.

Sincerely,

Dear Rubio Family,

My deepest condolences on the loss of Jose. I know the pain you all are going through. My brother, SSG Chris Hake was one of the soldiers who lost his life alongside Jose that night. I know that words are never enough. I just wanted to let you know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you. They will never be forgetten...

Reba Josey

April 8, 2008

To the entire Rubio family:
I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to your family in the loss of your brave soldier. My son, Tyler, is in Iraq and from the same unit as your son. May you find peace in the days ahead in knowing his unit will never forget him and the ultimate sacrifice he gave for this great country. The bond these guys formed with each other is stronger than one can understand and grows stronger with each new day. While my son was home on leave a couple of weeks ago, he told me that he felt bad for not being in Iraq helping his team out. This made me so proud to know that these soldiers think of each other as family. May GOD bless each of you.

My heart is deepened with sadness. As one of our brave and courageous men no longer is with us physically. But, will always be here spiritually to make sure his family will always be well taken care of. As a wife of a deployed soldier for the second time, It is difficult having to go through this hardship of not having a husband and father around for my kids in the most important times of their lives. I have learned to make time not only to pray to God, but also to speak with him about my worries with our men overseas. He has given me peace and answers in some way or another. Mrs. Rubio and Family my heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you and a Brave and Courageous Man God now has by his side. May God bless you and your little one.

To the Rubio family:

My greatest sympathy rests with you. Jose was a wonderful man, a hero, a son, a wonderful father. He gave everything of himself and asked little in return. God has a plan for him and that is what I try to remember. This is the hardest of times because he was so loved. Embrace what beauty he left behind a part of himself his handsome son. Embrace him and show him what a Hero his father was. Let him know just how much his father adored him. Jose will forever be remembered, forever be loved, and forever be our Hero. God bless each of you. You all will forever be in my prayers

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I THANK GOD EVERYDAY FOR WHAT I HAVE, AND THAT IS FREEDOM. I HAVE RIGHTS AND A VOICE TO DO MANY THINGS THAT MANY OTHER PEOPLE IN OTHER COUNTRIES CAN NOT DO. I AM AN AMERICAN AND I AM PROUD. THANK YOU FOR STANDING ON THE FRONT LINE FOR ALL OF US. WE TAKE LIFE FOR GRANTED AND THEN GOD REMINES US BY TAKEN AN ANGEL, A HERO. WHO GAVE UP HIS LIFE FOR ME. WHO IS A STRANGER BUT YET IT HURTS VERY MUCH TO KNOW THAT ONE OF OUR OWN (VALLEY HERO) IS GONE. I SHALL SAY THANK YOU AND KEEP YOUR FAMILY IN MY PRAYERS NOW AND FOREVER. MAY GOD BLESS YOUR FAMILY AND GOD BLESS AMERICA.

To All the Rubio Family: There will never be enough words to express our gratitude for the sacrifice your loved one made in giving his life so that we can live the life so many wish they had. Everytime a serviceman dies in war, we all bear the sorrow knowing his family will be forever changed due to his absence but please trust that our God has a very special place for those who give their lives up to make a difference in the lives of others! Our faith teaches us that our separation from loved ones is temporary and our reunion in Heaven will be for eternity, in the meantime honor him by living your lives to the fullest as you can also make a difference in others lives. I believe you will find joy in reaching out to others in his memory! Our most sincere condolences to all who loved him. May he rest in God's peace.
