Celestine Boone Brooks

Celestine Boone Brooks, formerly of 1124 Hodges Road, departed this life April 17, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Henry Brooks Sr.; three sisters, Berline B. Smith, Ethel B. Tate and Margie B. Lee. She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Wilbert Henry Brooks Jr. (Delores) and Willie Ruth Brooks Patterson (Charles); five grandchildren, Dr. Tasha Brooks Dickerson (Reginald), Wilbert Henry Brooks III, Charles Patterson III, Esquire (Angela), Brooke Patterson and Cheri Patterson; one great-grandson, Reginald O'Brien Dickerson Jr.; one great-granddaughter, Carrington Patterson; one sister, Arlene B. Minnis; one brother, Floyd H. Boone; two sisters-in-law, Lois Brooks Johnson and Evangeline Brooks; three brothers-in-law, Carlton T., Howard and Rudolph Brooks; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Carlton T. Brooks Funeral Home, 2200 Hull Street. Funeral services will be held Friday, 12 noon, at Zion Baptist Church, 2006 Decatur Street, where remains will lie in state at 11 a.m. Dr. Robert L. Pettis, pastor, officiating. Interment Maury Cemetery. Family and friends attending services assemble at the church Friday, 11:30 a.m.
