John Brayton Obituary

Brayton, John S. RENSSELAER On January 2, 2009 at 49 years of age, God called for our loved one John S. Brayton, who entered Heaven peacefully after a long illness. John was the loving son of Robert E. Brayton (deceased) and Yvonne F. Brayton. John was born in Albany and resided in Rensselaer all his life, where he grew up surrounded by his many friends. John was known by his many nicknames, "Bebe" or " JB." He enjoyed music of all kinds and could be found at concerts of his favorite groups. You could also find him on a nice summer day riding around with the top down and music blaring in his vintage red convertible car. John enjoyed working on his many home projects and liked to pull pranks on the ones he loved. John is survived and deeply missed by his mother, Yvonne F. Brayton; his brothers, Robert W. Brayton and William P. Brayton; and his sisters, Mary Clements and Jean McDonald. He is also survived by his two nephews, four nieces and one great-niece, in addition to his live-in companion, Caroline Fiacco. The funeral will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no evening calling hours. Those wishing to remember John in a special way may send a contribution in lieu of flowers to the Rensselaer Volunteer Ambulance, 901 3rd Street, Rensselaer NY 12144. My deepest sympathy to the Brayton family. It is with a feeling of great sorrow and the deepest of regret that I find myself writing this to you in order that I may express and offer the deep sympathy of a childhood friend of your son and brother. There is so little that one can offer or do to lessen the sorrow of your great loss. I express my deep regret and sorrow over your very great loss. With deepest sympathy.
