I miss hiking with Ron very much. He was an excellent guide who had such innate outdoor knowledge. He was so helpful in assisting many people to hike peaks. I learned a great deal from him and have so many fond memories hiking with him. I will never forget him.

Ron graciously helped all comers to bag those peaks. Now he has deservedly reached the ultimate elevation and we all pray that we join him.

What a loss we are enduring, but his memory will live on in our hearts forever.

What I remember about Ron was his energetic personality and willingness to help other's achieve their hiking goals. For sure he was a better hiker than most but always made sure everyone made it to the top despite their abilities. He was a great man who took the time to care about others while still pursuing his own goals. He did both well.

Ron and I were close friends in high school and I am saddened to hear of his passing. He was a good man and a good friend who could be counted on when he was needed. No one has more than a very few people in their lives that fit that description. He will be missed.
My condolences to his family for their loss. Both Harold and
Ramona were very good to me when they lived south of Deer Creek and I have always appreciated the hospitality and kindness they showed to Jack Davis, Dale Becker and myself.
I am grateful that I got an opportunity to talk to Ron at the Deer Creek reunion last year after many years of being out of touch. We had a lot of shared memories and it was good to see him again.
Dave, Nancy, and Barb--I am very sorry for your loss. You are all in my thoughts in this difficult time and I wish you all my very best. I think of you all from time to time and I share your grief that Ron left us so soon.

Ron was not only a good friend, but a mentor and inspiration too. Hiking with the Southern Arizona Hiking Club was his passion, but peak bagging was his thing. He never seemed to be happier than when he was helping others bag the next peak and he never gave anything less than his very best. I respected and appreciated his advice and will miss his counsel. Rest in peace Ron.
