Mildred Ann Brown

Mildred Brown, 78, of Waco, passed away peacefully, Thursday morning, April 24, 2008, at a local hospital. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 28, at Riesel Cemetery with the Rev. Curtis Holland officiating. Visitation with the family will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors. Mildred was born Jan. 16, 1930, in Mart, to Edwin and Annie VanDyck Ehlers. She married Archie C. Brown, the love of her life, on Sept. 9, 1948. She was a loving wife, mother and the best Mema ever. She loved to cook, sew and make beautiful floral arrangements. She enjoyed all her family and friends around her. She influenced the lives of many. Survivors include her husband, Archie; two daughters, Sharon Edwards and husband, Wayne, and DeiAnna Casiano and husband, Bob; a son, Russell Brown and wife, Mary Beth; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was very loved and will be deeply missed. Honorary bearers will be Wayne Edwards, Bob Casiano, Terry Henderson, James Henderson, Joel Edwards and James Daniel Dickens II.
