As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Mrs. Smith took us everywhere when I was growing up: Summer in the Parks, DC Black Repertory Theatre, The National Zoo, Rock Creek Park, Haines Point, Lake Fairfax, Dance Classes, Bowling, Movies, Eddie Leonard's, Basement Parties, Atlantic City. She was the only cool Mom at that time. Gone but never forgotten. My deepest condolences to the family at this very difficult time.

Carolyn will be in my heart and memories forever. She was a very nice and friendly person and made me feel like a part of her family from the time I met her. I am going to miss her. My prayers are with you and your families. You have my deepest sympathy! May the memories of your mother give you comfort, and her legacy live through each one of you! God Bless you all!

Memories) I walked into Carolyn's life 52 years ago after marrying her brother-in-law (Boyce). She made me feel: Warm, accepted, welcomed and at home. We spent countless times together, visiting, at family reunions and on holidays. Life has its' great moments and Carolyn made them Unforgettable! When you look back on Carolyn's life you will see that some of her best memories and happiest times were the simple moments spent with family and friends. To our family, we are at a loss for words during this sorrowful time. Please know that we are thinking of you and praying for peace and comfort. We will always remember- Boogie and Carolyn, together, forever as one. "Rest in Peace Carolyn we will miss you". Love Boyce & Margie

I was fortunate to have worked under Carolyn as a volunteer at the DC Black Repertory Company. She was a beautiful-minded, caring, and patient person. I am glad that our lives crossed as we went through life.
Please know that she will be very much missed. My prayers go out to the family in hopes that all your loving memories of her will strengthen you at this time of your loss.
