Earnest Rhodel Devoe of Lanham, MD. Entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 13, 2025. He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Keith Devoe (Arlene), one daughter, Wendy Palacio (Miguel); siblings, Weldon Hay Devoe, James Devoe, Steve Devoe (Toni), Cornelia Haywood (Raymond), Carrie Devoe Washington, Ruth Devoe Jones, Martha Devoe Williams, Mary Jones (Columbus), Sandra Bland (David); and a host of other relatives and friends. Earnest was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Clotee Devoe, brothers, John, Marion, Laudric and Robert Devoe, and sisters Mattie Devoe and Mae Devoe Fields. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 1 p.m. at St. Mary's Baptist Church, 8008 Eastern Avenue NW, Washington, DC. Funeral Services and Interment will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in his hometown, Barnwell, SC.
