RUTH G. BOYD
Of Washington, DC passed peacefully on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Lisner Nursing Home. Loving mother of Austine Rice (Craig), Carmen Bolton, Antoinette Wainwright, Alan Boyd (Carla), Steven Boyd (Carolyn), Renee Richardson and Kevin Boyd. Also survived by 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Iris "Nunny" Fagans and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ulysses "Diddy" Boyd; son, Marc Boyd; daughter-in-law, Loretta Boyd and son-in-law, Duke Wainwright. Family will receive friends on Friday, June 16 at J.B. JENKINS FUNERAL HOME, 7474 Landover Rd., Hyattsville, MD 20785. Visitation12:30 p.m.; Service, 1 p.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ruth's memory to Lisner Nursing Home, 5425 Western Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20015 or to a charity of your choice. www.jbjenkinsfuneralhome.com

This is Dee-Dee, Toni's daughter (Chichester). I was so very sorry to learn of Ms. Boyd's passing. You have my deepest condolences. Peace and blessings to each of you. Although these aren't the best circumstances, I very much look forward to seeing all of you. God Bless.
