Asher C. Minnich

Asher C. Minnich, 91, formerly of Walnutport, passed away on April 2, 2025, in Abode Care of Allentown. He was the husband of the late Mary L. "Mary Lou" (Laudenslager) Minnich. Asher was a machinist at the former Western Electric/Lucent Technologies until retiring. After retirement, he remained active as he worked on many home improvement projects for others. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Carl T. and Lila V. (Kuhns) Minnich. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Asher was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Allentown. Most of all, Asher was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Asher was a Philadelphia sports fan and enjoyed watching the Eagles and Phillies on TV.
Survivors: Sons: Richard A. Minnich and his wife Susan A. of Northampton and Thomas C. Minnich and his wife Alaina A. of South Whitehall Twp., Daughters: Susan A. wife of Douglas A. Kershner of Allentown and Kathy S. Miller of Kutztown, Brother: Lee K. Minnich and his wife Brenda of Allentown, Sister: Carol wife of William Damm of Pasadena, CA, 9 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a Daughter: Robin A. McGregor and a Son-In-Law: Andrew A. McGregor.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 11 A.M. at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church 1933 Hanover Ave. Allentown. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. in the Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church or The American Macular Degeneration Foundation (AMDF).
