Jack Beamer Obituary

Jack Beamer, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 14, 2025. Born on June 11, 1939, in Harrisburg, Jack was the son of the late Blaine and Jeanette (Snyder) Beamer. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Lois E. (Rehberg) Beamer, and his brother, Karl Beamer.
Jack's academic journey led him to Juniata College, where he earned his bachelor's degree, followed by a master's in mathematics from Lehigh University. He worked for PP&L for 30 years, serving as director of Rates and Market Research. He then worked for Northampton Community College as an assistant dean at their Monroe Campus.
Jack was a faithful member of Advent Moravian Church in Bethlehem, where he served as a trustee and finance secretary. He was proud of having cut grass at the church for over 45 years. Jack volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, building houses in south Bethlehem and Ocean Springs, Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina.
Golf was one of Jack's greatest joys and he was a charter member and treasurer of the Silver Creek Country Club. He fulfilled four of his lifelong golf goals – making a hole in one, playing St Andrews, meeting Arnold Palmer at the US Senior Open, and attending the Masters' Tournament in Augusta, Georgia.
Jack and Lois were enthusiastic travelers, visiting every continent save for Antarctica. When they visited Germany, and Tanzania, Jack and Lois brought crayons & markers from Binney and Smith to share with school children.
Jack was a dedicated father and enthusiastically supported his sons' educations. Jack is survived by his sons, Kevin Beamer and his wife Anne of Arlington, VA, Glenn Beamer of Wynnewood, and Michael Beamer and his wife Hae Eun of Glen Allen, Virginia; his sister-in-law Ginny Beamer of Lewisburg; and his three grandsons, Conor, Charlie, and Cody, who brought him unbounded joy.
Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM on May 10 at Advent Moravian Church, 3730 Jacksonville Rd, Bethlehem, PA 18017, with a reception to follow immediately in the church. Jack's arrangements have been entrusted to the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.

I had the pleasure of working with your Father at PPL back in the 60,s, and your Mother, Lois, was our caseworker at the Catholic Social Agency for many years. I considered her a good friend. She talked about all of you and she was so proud. Please accept my prayers and condolences for your family!

To the Beamer Family,
My thoughts and prayers go out to you at this difficult time. Working for Jack at PP&L during the 80´s was a an amazing life lesson in learning the value of hard work, preparation, and research. He showed how to succeed by doing all these things and mentoring many of us during that decade, preparing us for our career. He was a pleasure to know and work for and to learn from. He expected much but gave more. He´s probably golfing daily and never hitting a bad shot now! Please know how much he meant to many of us at PP&L.
Our prayers are with you all,
Don & Julie Frazier
