James Anthony Coco

James Anthony Coco, 66, of New Britain passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 23, 2025. Born in New Britain and a life-long resident, he was the son of the late Sebastian and Dorothy (Taricani) Coco. James was a graduate of E.C. Goodwin Technical High School and was a tool and die maker for more than forty years. He was an avid classic movie enthusiast; he enjoyed family gatherings especially at Christmas time. He enjoyed listening to music and was a fan of comedy television.
James is survived by his four siblings: Julia Coco of New Britain, Stephen (Mary Dowling) Coco of Burlington, Sharon (Robert) Jacques, Sr. of Bristol, and Joseph Coco of New Britain. James was a devoted uncle and survived by his nieces and nephews, Shannon Dowling Coco (Simon) of Philadelphia, PA, Stephanie (Jake) Halser of Bristol, Nicole (Eli) Curry of Quincy, MA, Colin Coco of Boston, MA, and Robert P. Jacques, Jr. of Bristol.
The family will honor James with a private burial service at a later date. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
