Marty Gean Goodson

1969 - 2013

Marty Gean Goodson was born December 16, 1969, in Fresno County, and died Sunday, April 14, 2013, at age 43.
When Marty was very young he moved to Willits, where he was raised, grew up, and started a family of his own.
Marty was the only surviving son of five children. He had three sisters whom he cherished: Melissa, Marla and Mandy. He was preceded in death by his brother, Rodney Goodson.
Marty was the son of Roger and Linda Goodson of Willits. He attended and graduated from Willits schools, and had many local friends.
After graduation, Marty met and married his first wife, Tammy Thomas, and together they had four children: Rowdy, who is currently serving his country with the U.S. Marines; Dallas; Byran; and Brandon.
Marty later married Kathey Arnold, and together they had three children: Chris, Trent, and Laryssa.
Marty had many hobbies and worked many jobs. He was a diesel mechanic, a logger, equipment operator, and was proud to be a wildland firefighter.
Marty loved to hunt, camp, fish and spend time with his large family and many friends, whom Marty loved and cared for.
Marty was an outgoing friendly person, who will be missed by all who had the chance to know him.
Services for Marty will be held in Willits on Tuesday, April 23, at Anker-Lucier Mortuary at 1 p.m. with burial to follow in Little Lake Cemetery.
