Stephanie and Family, I was so sorry to learn of Dick's passing. We really shared some great laughs during interaction with our police and fire departments. Our squad got Dick involved in more than one hilarious situation and he was game for another one every time. That brotherhood between departments was strong back in the old days. Please know you have our deepest sympathies.

Dear Carol, Stephen and Stephanie, I just wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss. Dick was such a great friend to so many of us as well as a great mentor. We shared so many good times and he was always there to support me whenever I needed it. I don’t think there was ever a time he didn’t make me laugh and I will truly miss that, our lunch get togethers and our time working in the fire department. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you and your families. R.I.P. Brother!

Dick was a good friend of my husband Jim Mack and I, we lived close to Dick and Carol for several years. When Jim got sick, Dick would come to visit him, and that was a big help to me..Rest in Peace Dick.

To the Saylor Family:
I was shocked to read of Dick's passing. I met Dick back in the early 1970's through the Fire Department. My father was a career firefighter for the City of York from 1949-1990, so their careers overlapped for a number of years. My dad always enjoyed the times he and Dick worked together, and the times I was around Dick over the years were always enjoyable. Please accept my sympathy on his passing. He was really one of the "Good Guys" and will truly be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Dick's passing. We shared some great times when I was in the Fire Department. He was always there for me. When I retired and moved to Arizona my wife, Kathy and I would look forward to his yearly visits. I believe it was these times that we became closer. He will be missed.
